Do You have any Regrets?
Now that you are all grown up do you ever think out things you did as a Teenager or young adult? If you have kids in what way could you relay these regrets in a positive way to teach your kids valuable lessons so that they will not go down that same path?

Class of 1991 Reunion Committee
I have really been giving this some thought and I think we should start planning our 2011 reunion we first need to have a committee and do Fundraisers to help ease the cost of this event. Now I have been crunching a few numbers and they best way to keep the cost down to a minimum is to have 10-12 people on the committee. The committee will consist of A President, Vice President, Secretary,Treasurer ,Sgt at Arms and the rest are committee members. So if you are interested in being on this committee please email me asap so we can get this started!
Wow its almost been 20 years where did the time go!!! I Would like to have the Committee formed by the end of June 2008 please respond by then Thank You!

SSCA Faculty Sightings................
Have You seen any former teachers or faculty of SSCA with in the past few years if so post your SSCA Faculty sightings...... I have seen Mr. Dickerson (English Teacher) he works at Dunbar in the English Dept, I have also seen Mrs. Puryear (Afro-American History) shes retired and I heard Mrs.Kathy Farr (English Teacher ) was the Asst Principal at Morgan Park H.S and Mrs.Annie Moore (Athletic Director) is still working at SSCA, Someone posted that Mrs. Marie Miles works at CVS as the Principal.
The Glass Slipper Project
As many of you already know, I volunteer with the Glass Slipper Project. The glassslipper is an organization that provides high school girls with prom dresses and other accessories. This is totally free to the girls. The news media here came out to cover the event. There are two more boutiques. The next one is on April 26 and the final one is May 3 @ 5055 S. State Street (Farren Elementary). They are still in need of items for prom. Remember how your prom was, don't you want to make some young ladies prom as memorable as yours was? You can still drop off donations at the school. They are in need of Mascra, check the website for additional information. www.theglassslipper.org . If you are donating a dress, please have it dry cleaned before you bring it in. Hoisery, accessories (new dressy earrings, necklaces and bracelets), purses, shawls/wraps, and new or like new formal shoes.
Restaurant Reviews
Here is the rating scale * poor ,**, Okay,*** Average, ****Very Good, *****Excellent
and same with the prices $ Cheap ,$$, Under 20, $$$ Splurge,$$$$ You need a Man to take you there!
Hamanda of Japan in Tinley Park,IL(183rd & Harlem) (Reservations are a must or the wait is Hours)
The place was cute sort setup like Bennihana we had our own chef he did tricks with the veggies and amused us all the waitress was on it my cup was never empty and the atmosphere was good. He cooked everything in front of us it was quick and good. The Menu had a wide variety (if you had a food allergy to fish he cooked it last so it would not interfere with yours) You could actually share a dish with someone. I give it **** and the prices were $$-$$$ and it was a kid friendly place and the parking is FREE.
RL (Ralph Lauren Restaurant)
Its Downtown on Chicago/Rush the atmosphere is nice no music just the chatter of people in the place reservations are a must the menu was quite broad it covered all the traditional dishes Everything I ordered was good it was an interesting place the waiters were nice it was very clean. I Give it *** and the price was $$$- $$$$ and you have to find your own parking.
Grand Lux Cafe
Its Downtown on Ontario/Michigan this is an affiliate of the Cheesecake Factory but the food is so much better I LOVE This place I have not had a bad experience yet I would wait however long the wait for this place its Excellent the staff is nice its clean and the Drinks are Excellent a well as the Desert. I give it ***** its $$-$$$ and there is Valet parking and they do not accept reservations 1st come 1st serve.
The Melting Pot
Its Downtown on Dearborn/Grand it is very different you cook your own Food it a Fondue place its actually a place were you can share the meal thats the way the pricing is set up. The waitress are okay if you have a large party they give you 2 but even then somethings didn't get the attention it deserved. My favorite part of the meal was the desert you get endless fruit and cake to dip into the Chocolate it was very clean and they have free wine tasting at the bar. I give it *** and $$$ and they do have Valet Parking.
Papadeaux Seafood in Arlington Heights,IL
Its in Arlington Heights, IL I love this place also they used to have all you can eat Lobster but they fazed it out the menu but they other dishes are good and they have 1/2 price appetizers during the week 6-7p and on Sunday they have the ALL YOU CAN EAT Brunch from 10a-2p all I can say is you have to go its far bit its worth it! The Staff is nice and its very clean. I give it **** it $- $$$ and there is FREE Parking.
