A Year in review 2008!

Greetings Alumni,
Well 2008 is almost over we have the first African American President Barack Obama and we are all still alive and able to network with one another even though the economy is bad we must Thank the lord for waking us up every day and we have make the best of what we have. Our Holiday Party was great as always the pictures are in the gallery at(http://sscachicago.ning.com/) for you to view. Our Dinners have been Great we have been going to different places I hope to continue with more alumni participation.

I hope to see more of you all next year in 2009 it is always great seeing old friends catching up with whats going on with them. As many of you know the Class of 1991 20th year reunion is approaching in 2011 so thats roughly 3 years we need to contact and reconnect with as many classmates as we can to make the reunion a success. We also need to due at least 1 fundraiser each year to cut the cost of a Runion so we can have it some where really nice so if you have any ideas let me know.

So Send my email (southshorealumnibdayclub@gmail.com ) out to those you know so we can keep up with them and Class of 1992 you are right behind us so it would be a good time for you all to start gathering info on your classmates as well. I wish you all a Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year!

October/November/Decemeber Dinner 11/8/08

Well it was Blast as usually we only had 2 birthday people but the food was good and the conversation was even better. That was our last Birthday Dinner for 2008 the last event for the year will be our 2nd Annual Alumni Holiday Get Together and the date & location is TBA soon.
Well I hope to see more of you all in 2009 for our gatherings .

The August/September Boat Brunch 9/7/08

Well if you missed this you really missed out on a good time! The Mystic Blue was a Excellent Idea kudos to Camille Young for suggesting it and many more KUDOS to Denise Yelvington she really came threw for us regarding the price and parking! I recommend if you can do the Sunday Boat Brunch it is really worth it!The Food was excellent and the music was good we had a fantastic DJ Matt he really got into the music and just was a real crowd pleaser. So get ready we only have 2 more events left for 2008 that's the Oct/Nov/Dec Bday Dinner & Our 2nd Annual Xmas Get Together , now it was suggested that we do it at Riva' s (Located at Navy Pier) so feel free to send me your thoughts/comments.
